John Tinsley presenting the Pluto paper entitled "PLuTO: MT for Online Patent Translation" at AMTA 2010 in the Westin Tabor Centre in Denver.

Pluto members John and Andy attended the 9th conference of the Association for Machine Translation in the Americas (AMTA) in Denver, Colorado at the beginning of November. John presented the PLUTO paper -- PLuTO: MT for Online Patent Translation -- during a session of the Commercial User Track of the conference. The talk, which introduced some MT use case scenarios for patent translation based on PLuTO's collaboration with the EPO, was well attended, well received and served to introduce the PLuTO project to the MT and professional translation community in North America.

The presentation slides from AMTA can be downloaded here and the paper on which the talk was based can be retrieved here. Alternatively, you can visit the Downloads section of this site and get them from there.
